Another issue that you may run into is a stuck choke. The choke is designed to open and close for ignition purposes. If the choke gets stuck and doesn’t open, the engine can get flooded with so much fuel that it won’t start at all. If that happens, you'll have to open to carburetor and clear out or replace the choke so that it functions properly again.
